Export Fish
Exportculture has been involved in the following
over the past 3 years:
- Tuna Exports.
- Lobster.
- Sea Cucumber development and consultation with Government.
- Initial Aquaculture development with Mussels and
Abalone.
We have exported to a number of markets mainly to the USA
and New Zealand.
We have currently 2 vessels that are operating in various fisheries
projects.
2008 will see Exportculture develop its Fisheries
program in consultation with experts within Tonga and in New Zealand,
and working alongside others in the Fishing Industry as we strive
to lift the overall performance of the export potential for Tongan
Fish.
Tongan Government and the Ministry of Fisheries are pro-active at
this time in developing the fisheries to help the economy grow which
will increase and encourage investment in this sector.
